We
cordially invite you to visit Jeju, "the Island of
Peace" and venue of the 2008 International Crop Science
Congress (ICSC).
Also known as "the Jewel of Northeast Asia,"
Jeju Island is located at the southernmost tip of Korea
and boasts of a breathtaking natural environment. The
1,950-meter Halla Mountain, the 368 secondary volcanic
cones, and over 2,250 species of flora unique to Jeju,
are just some of the scenic spots that attract about 5
million domestic and foreign tourists annually.
Recently launched as a special self-governing province,
Jeju has transformed into a free economic zone known as
Jeju Free International City. Now, more than ever, Jeju
becomes a favorable place for tourists and businessmen
alike.
The people of Jeju are ready to make the 2008 ICSC the
most successful meeting ever. We look forward to meeting
all of you in 2008. Hope to see you then.
Thank you
